FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The Ghost 2 A GPS Tracker?

The Ghost 2 is not a GPS tracker. The system is purely a discrete pin to drive immobiliser. Many customers opt for a combination of a Ghost+Insurance Approved Tracker to satisfy the insurance company &amp have a piece of mind knowing the vehicles’ location at all times.

Why Upgrade To Pro Immobililsation?

The Standard Ghost 2 Immobiliser provides protection against common methods of attack such as : Key Cloning, Key Relaying, Key Theft & ECU swapping.

6 years on from its release, theft methods have advanced with dedicated override machines now on the market. These attacks are referred to as CAN-BUS combination attacks using dedicated “Emergency Start Devices”.

Can A Phone Be Paired To The Ghost 2 Immobiliser

Yes, however we highly discourage using this feature. When using a phone to disarm, the connection range can be well in excess of 10 meters. Meaning the Ghost 2 could be disarmed during an attack if the vehicle was parked within range. e.g. on the driveway.

Can I Choose My Own Code

The push sequence can be changed as many times as you want. Using factory buttons on the vehicle, a combination of 4-20 individual presses can be selected.
