Take note of the 6-digit override code unique to your device.(e.g.523432)

  • Switch on the ignition.
  • Press the brake pedal & hold, press the accelerator pedal x amount of times for your first digit(e.g.5).
  • Release the brake pedal and receive a flash to confirm this digit has been accepted.
  • Press the brake pedal & hold, press the accelerator pedal x amount of times for your second digit(e.g.2).
  • Release the brake pedal and receive a flash to confirm this digit has been accepted.
  • Press the brake pedal & hold, press the accelerator pedal x amount of times for your third digit(e.g.3).

  • Disarm the system using your push sequence.(JLR vehicles, skip this step)
  • Press the accelerator pedal 10x .
  • Recieve 2 flashes.
  • Enter the new code .
  • Turn the ignition off within 5 seconds
  • Recieve 1 flash
  • Your new code is now set

Why Choose the Thatcham Approved S5+ Tracker?

Insurance companiesdetermine the risk of vehicle theft based on past statistics. For instance, certain BMW and Range Rover models had extremely high theft rates in 2023. As a result, some models now require an Insurance Approved Tracker installed by a Thatcham-approved installer for comprehensive insurance coverage. An S5+ Insurance Approved Tracker requires the Driver of the vehicle to first prove they are the authorised Driver. The driver does this by being in possession of the Driver ID Tag at the point of turning on the ignition. The Tracking system then allows the driver to start the vehicle and disables the immobiliser part of the S5+ (No Tag – No Start.)

 

What is the Alerting Process with an S5+ Insurance Approved Tracker?

The immobiliser within the S5+ will not let the vehicle start without the driver tag being seen or a code sent from your mobile phone.Meaning it cant simply be driven away

If you vehicle is towed away or the GPS equipment is interfered with, this will trigger the alerting and recovery process. Working directly with the Police force in your area once they have received the incident number.

What if I have forgotten my Driver ID Tag and I need to start my vehicle?

Don’t worry, you can contact our 24/7 support line on 0203 835 3234. You need to select option 1 for stolen and immobilised vehicles, provide us with some information such as your account name and our support team will get you up and running.

What if I want to buy extra Tags?

That’s not a problem. We will program a new Tag and send them directly to you.

Whats the Difference between S7 and S5 Insurance Approved Trackers?

The S5 Tracker, once installed by an approved engineer, assures insurance companies of a higher likelihood of vehicle recovery, thus potentially reducing claims. It’s equipped with GPS tracking and is continuously monitored by our UK monitoring Team, they will liaise with the police for vehicle recovery.

With an S7 Insurance Approved Tracker our UK monitoring team monitor if the tracker has been interfered with, the vehicle has moved without the ignition of the vehicle being turned on i.e. being towed away.

Is The Halo Mini A GPS Tracker?

The Halo Mini is not a GPS tracker. However, when combined, they offer features not available anywhere else on the market. With our knowledge and careful selection of devices. The vehicle can be immobilised via the tracking system and the push sequence entry disables. Meaning the vehicle will be immobilised. Even in the event a thief knows the push sequence, it will not be accepted!

What Is Service Mode & How Does It Work

Service Mode allows The The Halo Mini can be turned off for an indefinite amount of time for when the vehicle is taken to a garage for servicing or maintenance.

This is done using your unique push sequence and one in service/valet mode means there is no need to share your unique PIN code with the mechanic or garage.

The vehicle will be able to start up and move as if there was no Halo Mini installed.

What If I Forget My Code Or A Button Is Broken

If you have forget your PIN code or one of the buttons in your PIN code becomes unstable/inoperative.

Each Halo Mini is created with its own unique 6-digit override code. Similar to a card pin.

So long as you have access to this unique code, the system can be disarmed, and a new code can be set.

How Secure Is The Halo Mini Immobiliser?

This digital immobiliser helps to protect against all modern forms of attack. With ongoing research and development, this system is forever evolving to keep up with the latest methods of theft.

However, this system does not protect you from Tow-Away theft or if someone has seen your unique code. If this is a vulnerability you are looking to protect, we recommend combining a tracking device to monitor and remotely immobilize the vehicle.

What is The Halo Mini with Total Kill?

The Total Kill is designed for situations where you are no longer with the vehicle. Whether you have given a thief the push sequence or the vehicle was in service mode and stolen from the dealer. With just a few simple clicks in the app, the vehicle can be located and immobilised. At this time, it also will not accept the unique code. Upon recovery, this feature can be turned off, meaning the vehicle can be driven home.

This option is perfect for rental fleets where they still require pin to drive protection whilst out on hire. But also disable the vehicle if it is not returned.

Can A Phone Be Paired to the Halo Mini Immobiliser

No, the Halo Mini is a push sequence only immobiliser. Meaning it does not suffer from the range vulnerabilities of other product, you can be sure your vehicle s secure even if you forget your phone in the car on that odd occasion.

Can I Choose My Own Code

The push sequence can be changed as many times as you want. Using factory buttons on the vehicle, a combination of 3-21 individual presses can be selected. On some vehicles you can even include pedal presses in this combination.
